Assigning loyalty points based on customer tags allows you to reward specific customer segments automatically and create more personalized loyalty experiences. By using customer tags applied through Shopify, AiTrillion modules, or third-party apps, you can trigger point rewards for targeted actions or attributes. This article explains how to assign loyalty points based on customer tags and how to configure this activity effectively within your loyalty program.

Simply follow the steps below:



Step 2: Click on the On customer tag activity


Step 3: Add a tag and the points you want to assign to this

Tags: Tags are identifiers assigned to customers based on certain criteria or actions they perform on your platform.

Enter Tag: This field allows you to input specific tags that trigger certain actions or rewards within your loyalty program.

Tags Points: Tags Points refer to the number of reward points customers earn when they're associated with a particular tag.

Reward Text: This text is displayed to customers when they earn reward points through tag-related activities. It typically includes a message notifying them of the points earned.

Description: The Description field provides additional context or instructions related to the tag-based rewards, helping both merchants and customers understand how the system works.

You can create an automatic segment using various triggers and tags to automatically. This enables you to reward loyalty points based on specific conditions or actions

Step 4: Save this, and the activity will be enabled.



Important Notes

  • Loyalty points are awarded only when the specified customer tag is applied to the customer profile.
  • The tag name must exactly match the tag added in Shopify, AiTrillion, or any third-party app (including case sensitivity).
  • Points are credited once per tag per customer, unless the tag is removed and reapplied.
  • Multiple tags can be configured within the same activity, and each tag can have its own point value.
  • Points are awarded only when the activity is enabled in the loyalty program.
  • Disabling the activity will stop point allocation for new tag events, but will not affect previously awarded points.
  • Changes made to tag or point configurations apply to future tag applications only.
