What is the AiTrillion Loyalty Rewards Program?

The AiTrillion Loyalty Rewards Program is a powerful customer retention system designed to help Shopify store owners reward and engage their customers effortlessly. It allows you to create a point-based rewards program where customers earn points for actions like purchases, account creation, referrals, reviews, and more.

These earned points can be redeemed for discounts, free products, or exclusive offers—encouraging repeat purchases and building long-term customer loyalty. Since the Loyalty Rewards Program is part of the all-in-one AiTrillion platform, you can seamlessly combine it with email, SMS, workflows, popups, customer account, and other tools to create personalized, automated loyalty experiences that drive higher conversions and lifetime value.

How to Set Up AiTrillion’s Loyalty Rewards Program

Note: Before setting up the Loyalty program, do ensure that the Loyalty module is enabled. To enable Loyalty rewards, go to Loyalty rewards, Dashboard, and click on the enable button.



Step 1: Set up earn points

Go to Loyalty Rewards > Set Up Program > Earn Points to configure how customers can accumulate points.




You can give loyalty points to customers when they perform activities in your store. 
Examples of Rewardable Actions:
💰 Make a Purchase – Earn 1 point per $1 spent. With advanced settings.
🆕 Create an Account – Earn 50 points
👥 Refer a Friend – Earn 50 points (Referrer) & Friend gets 5% off (minimum $50 purchase)
🏪 Visit the Store – Earn 10 points
🎂 Birthday Reward – Earn 20 points. To sync the customer's birthday to AiTrillion from Shopify notes and metafields - Click here
 ⭐ Leave a Review – Earn 20 points
📢 Share on Facebook – Earn 10 points
🔔 Allow Push Notifications – Earn 20 points

Step 2: 
Go to Loyalty Rewards > Set Up Program > Redeem Points to define how customers can use their points.



You can create rewards so the customer can redeem their loyalty points and generate the discount code (below is an example).
📌 Example Redemption Rewards:
🎟 100 Points = 5% Off
🎟 200 Points = 15% Off
🎟 100 Points = $5 Discount
🎟 1000 Points = Free Shipping


Step 3: Customize Loyalty Widget & Display on Store



Head to Loyalty Rewards > Display on store to set up the Loyalty Widget with:
🎨 Custom Colors & Branding
📍 Widget Positioning on Storefront
✏️ Custom Text & Messaging


Step 4: Settings of Loyalty rewards

Program participants: Choose who is eligible to participate in your loyalty program.

All customers: Allow all customers, including guests, to earn points (account required to redeem rewards).

Only customers who have a store account: Restrict loyalty participation to customers who have created a store account.

Segment-based loyalty participation: Include or exclude specific customer segments from participating in the loyalty program.

Block customers from loyalty program: Prevent selected customers (using tags) from earning or redeeming loyalty rewards.

Block customers with any of the following tags: Exclude customers with specific tags from the loyalty program.

Combine discount code settings: Allow loyalty discount codes to be combined with other Shopify discount types.

Product discount code: Enable combining loyalty discounts with product-level discounts.

Order discount code: Enable combining loyalty discounts with order-level discounts.

Shipping discount code: Enable combining loyalty discounts with shipping discounts.

Display settings for loyalty popup sections: Control what information is shown inside the loyalty popup.

Show pending points: Display pending (unapproved) points to customers in the loyalty popup.

Apply discount on purchase type: Define whether discounts apply to one-time purchases or other purchase types.

Sync customer birthday to AiTrillion from Shopify notes and metafields: Sync customer birthday data from Shopify to trigger birthday-related rewards.

Map with Shopify’s customer note attribute: Fetch customer birthday from the Shopify customer note field.

Map with Shopify’s customer metafield: Fetch customer birthday from Shopify customer metafields.

Apply prefix on discount code: Add a custom prefix to all loyalty discount codes generated by the system.




✔️ Final Step: Enable the "Show" button on your storefront to make the loyalty program visible to customers.




You can set up the loyalty widget for your store from here, like color branding, position, and text.

 


Once done, make sure your loyalty program is enabled from here on the dashboard.





Important Notes

  1. Customers must be logged in or have a store account to redeem loyalty rewards.
  2. Loyalty widgets and popups will not appear on the storefront until at least some of earn and redeem rule is set up.
  3. Enabling the Loyalty Rewards Program does not automatically create earning or redeem rules, these must be configured manually.
  4. Discount codes can be combined only if the corresponding Shopify discount settings are enabled.
  5. Blocked customers or customers with excluded tags will not earn or redeem points.
