What is a customer tag?

Customer tags are labels or identifiers assigned to individual customers based on specific criteria or behavior. These tags provide businesses with a way to segment and categorize their customer base, allowing for targeted marketing efforts and personalized communication.


Follow the following steps to give loyalty points on newsletter signup and customer tag -:





Step 2: Click on the activity that says 'On Customer Tag'.





Step 3: Enter the tag you configured on the newsletter signup page. Click here to learn more.



Step 4: When done click Save/Update. Also ensure that this feature is turned on in the loyalty menu.




Important notes

  1. Loyalty points are awarded only when the specified customer tag is applied to the customer’s account. Make sure the same tag is used consistently across your newsletter signup or other integrations.
  2. Points will be granted once per configured tag, unless the tag is removed and added again. Re-adding tags may trigger points again based on your setup.
  3. Ensure the “On Customer Tag” earning activity is enabled in the Earn Points section, otherwise, points will not be credited even if the tag exists.
  4. If multiple tags are configured with rewards, customers may earn points for each eligible tag, depending on your configuration.
  5. Changes to tag names after setup may break the reward flow, always update the earning rule if you rename or modify tags.
