Send Email When Entering or Switching VIP Tiers

Introduction

Notifying customers when they enter or move between VIP tiers helps reinforce their loyalty and keeps them informed about newly unlocked benefits. This article explains how to send automated emails when a customer enters a VIP tier or switches between tiers, ensuring timely communication and a better customer experience.

NotesNote: Before setting up the VIP tier notification, please ensure that the VIP tiers are correctly set up in AiTrillion.

Segment Creation

Here are the steps to send an email when customers enter, switch, upgrade, or downgrade a VIP tier:




Step 2: Click on the Create segment button and click on the Add filter button.




Step 3: Search and click on the VIP tier button



Step 4: Select the filter and VIP tier name to which you want to send emails when customers enter or switch tiers, and click on the Done button.



Step 5:  Click on Save segment.



Step 6: Now, give a Name to segment and enter the Description (Optional) and click on Create segment.



Email Settings

Step 2: Click on Create from scratch button.



Step 2: Add the trigger Segment Changed to -- Your segment name.



Step 3: Now, add the filter as per your requirement and  add the action Send email with your created Email template. To learn how to create the email template, Click here.

Note: Set the Contact throttling to - Allow contacts to enter the workflow an unlimited number of times, even if the contact is already on the workflow.




Step 4: Click on Save button and enable the workflow by clicking on enable button.



Now, the emails/workflows will be sent to the customers as per your set conditions.


Important Notes

  1. Ensure that VIP tiers are properly created and enabled in AiTrillion before setting up email notifications.
  2. Emails are triggered only when a customer enters, upgrades, or downgrades a VIP tier based on the selected filter conditions.
  3. The email will be sent only to customers who are included in the created customer segment.
  4. If a customer switches tiers multiple times, emails will be sent each time the trigger condition is met.
  5. Make sure the email template used in the workflow is published and active.
  6. Emails will be sent only if the customer has a valid email address and is not unsubscribed or previously marked the email as spam.
  7. Any changes made to the segment or workflow will apply to future tier changes only.
  8. Disabling or deleting the workflow will stop all future VIP tier email notifications.
