Create a Customer Segment for email campaign

Introduction

Creating customer segments for email campaigns in AiTrillion allows you to target the right audience with relevant and personalized messages. By segmenting customers based on behavior, preferences, or purchase history, you can improve engagement, increase conversions, and reduce unsubscribes. This article explains how to create customer segments and use them effectively for your email marketing campaigns.

Here are the steps to follow:



Step 2: Click the Create segment button in the top-right corner.




Step 3: Click on Add filter button and select the filter you would like to choose. 




Step 4: Once you select the condition For e.g. Order count greater than 2, click on the Apply filter button. 



Step 5: If you want to add more filters, click on the Add filter button, or you can click on the Save segment button.



Note: If you apply two conditions and want to use an AND or OR rule, use the options below:
  1. That matches all filters – This applies the AND condition.
  2. That matches any filters - This applies OR condition.




Step 6: Once you click on the Save segment button, you will get the following options:
1. Segment name - Give a name to the segment
2. Description - Write the purpose/definition of the filter

Once you enter all the details. You can click on the Create segment button.




Now, the segment has been created. You can check the segment by visiting - Customers >> Segment. You can also choose the segment to be included or excluded in email campaign.




Important Notes:

  1. Customer segments are dynamic, meaning customers will automatically enter or exit a segment when they meet or no longer meet the selected conditions.
  2. Multiple filters can be combined to create highly targeted segments.
  3. After adding or modifying filters, always click Apply filter to update the results.
  4. Segment size may change over time as customer data updates.
  5. Avoid using overly complex filters unless necessary, as this can reduce audience size significantly.
  6. Saved segments are available under Customers → Segment.
  7. If a segment is deleted, it will no longer be available for future campaigns.
