Setting up milestones in your VIP program is a strategic way to engage and reward your most loyal customers. Milestones help create a sense of achievement and encourage continuous interaction with your brand. In this article, we’ll guide you through the process of configuring VIP program milestones, from defining the key stages of your program to selecting the rewards that will motivate your customers to reach new levels.
A member enters a VIP tier based on the following criteria:
Points Earned:
Lifetime as a Rewards Member: The total points accumulated over the member’s entire time in the program.
One Calendar Year: Points earned within a single calendar year.
365 Days from Last Tier Upgrade: Points accumulated within the 365 days following their last tier upgrade.
Amount Spent:
Lifetime as a Rewards Member: The total amount spent by the member over their entire time in the program.
One Calendar Year: Amount spent within a single calendar year.
365 Days from Last Tier Upgrade: Amount spent within the 365 days following their last tier upgrade.
Tag-Based:
Members can also be assigned to VIP tiers based on specific tags applied to their accounts, categorizing them based on criteria such as purchase history or membership status.
VIP milestones can be configured based on Points Earned, Amount Spent, or Customer Tags—only one criterion can be active at a time.
Lifetime-based milestones are non-expiring, while calendar-year and 365-day milestones are time-bound.
