Create a free product reward

Introduction

Free product rewards are a powerful way to delight customers and increase engagement in your loyalty program. By allowing customers to redeem their loyalty points for a free product, you can encourage repeat purchases, highlight specific products, and create a more rewarding shopping experience. This article explains how to create and configure a free product reward, so customers can easily redeem their points for selected products in your store.

Follow the below steps to create a free product reward:

Step 1: Go to Loyalty Rewards > Redeem Points> Free Product Reward Setting

Step 2: Configure the settings according to your requirements, then click on the save/update button at the bottom right corner.

Note: Make sure the widget is enabled on the top left corner

Step 4: Copy the shortcode and paste it onto the page where you want to show the product listing.

Step 5: Now go to Loyalty Rewards >> Set up program >> Free product reward gallary

Step 6: Click on the Create button in the top right corner.

Step 7: A popup will appear. Fill in the details in the popup (Enter the product ID and the number of points to claim the reward). Learn how to get the product ID here.

Product ID: Select the product you want to offer as a free reward. You can search and choose the product directly from your store. The selected product will be added to the cart automatically when the reward is redeemed.

Product Title: Displays the name of the product shown to customers in the loyalty rewards section.

Points to Claim: Defines the number of loyalty points required to redeem the free product. Customers must have at least this many points available to claim the reward.

Reward Heading: The main heading shown for this reward in the loyalty popup or rewards list. Example: Free Product (Voucher)

Heading’s Bottom Statement: Additional text shown below the reward heading. 

{{points}} - This tag will show no. of points to claim the product.

Product Image: Upload an image to visually represent the free product reward.

It will look like this in the store

Once the customer clicks on the Buy Now button, the discount code will be created automatically and redirected to the checkout page.

Important notes

1. The selected product must be active and available in stock. If the product is out of stock or unpublished, customers will not be able to redeem the reward.
   
2. Customers must have sufficient loyalty points to redeem the free product. If their points balance is lower than the required points, the reward will remain locked.
   
3. Each free product reward redemption automatically generates a reward at checkout, and the customer is redirected to complete the purchase.
   
4. The free product can be redeemed only once per reward claim, unless the customer earns enough points again to redeem it another time.
   
5. Make sure the product does not have conflicting discount restrictions that could prevent it from being added as a free reward at checkout.
   
6. The product image and reward heading play an important role in customer engagement—use clear visuals and concise text to improve visibility in the loyalty popup.
