Custom Prefix for Loyalty Discount Code Names

Introduction

Custom prefixes for loyalty discount codes allow you to personalize and organize the discount codes generated through your loyalty program. By adding a unique prefix, you can easily identify, track, and differentiate loyalty-generated codes from other promotional or manual discount codes in your store.

This feature not only helps keep your discount list structured but also strengthens brand consistency by letting you customize how your loyalty rewards appear to customers. With a clear and recognizable prefix, managing and filtering discount codes becomes faster and more efficient.

Here are the steps to add a custom prefix for Loyalty discount codes:

Step 1: Go to Loyalty rewards >> Settings >> General settings

Step 2: Scroll to the bottom to change the prefix according to your needs and click on Save.

Note: By default, all discount codes will have the prefix “AIO.”

Now, whenever customers redeem rewards, the discount codes generated in Shopify will appear with the prefix you have set. To check this, go to Shopify admin >> Discount code and search for the prefix that you have set.

Important Notes

1. The custom prefix applies only to newly generated loyalty discount codes. Existing codes will not be updated retroactively.
   
2. By default, all loyalty-generated discount codes use the prefix “AIO” unless you change it in the General Settings.
   
3. Make sure the prefix you choose is unique and does not conflict with other manual or automated discount codes in your Shopify store.
   
4. Avoid using special characters or spaces in the prefix to ensure smooth discount code generation and compatibility with Shopify.
   
5. Prefix changes affect discount codes created through loyalty rewards redemption only, not other Shopify promotions.
   
6. You can easily track and manage loyalty discounts in Shopify by searching the prefix in the Discounts section.
   
7. Changing the prefix does not impact already redeemed or expired discount codes.
   
8. Only store admins with appropriate permissions can update or modify the discount code prefix.
