Create a segment for emails not opened

Introduction

In the realm of email marketing, the ability to segment your audience effectively can make or break your campaign's success. One crucial segment to consider is the group of recipients who have not opened your emails. This segment, often overlooked, holds significant potential for improving engagement rates and refining your marketing strategy.


Here are the steps to create a segment for email not opened:




Step 2: Click on the Create segment button >> and click on the Add filter button. The filters are following

  • Number of sent campaign >> greater than equals to 1

  • Number of opened campaigns is empty

  • Number of clicked campaigns is empty




Step 3: Click on the Apply filter button.



Now you will be able to target those customers who have never opened an email campaign


Important Notes:

  1. This segment includes only customers who have been sent at least one email campaign.
  2. Customers who have never received an email campaign will not be included in this segment.
  3. The segment is dynamic and will update automatically as customers open or interact with future campaigns.
  4. Use the Apply filter button to refresh results after adding or modifying filters.
  5. The number of customers in the segment may change over time based on email engagement activity.
  6. Avoid sending repeated campaigns to non-openers too frequently to prevent higher unsubscribe rates.
  7. Review the customer list preview to ensure the segment is targeting the correct audience.
