Use the email design editor for billing & shipping information

Introduction:

The new Email Design Editor makes it easy to display billing and shipping information clearly and professionally in your email templates. By using dynamic placeholders, you can automatically pull customer-specific details such as billing address, shipping address, and order information into transactional and notification emails. This ensures accuracy, improves customer communication, and helps create a consistent post-purchase experience without any manual effort.

Here are the steps to use the email design editor for billing and shipping information

Step 2: Click on the Create from scratch button or click on the Use template button.

Step 3: Edit the template as per your needs and click on the Blocks tab.

Step 4: Drag and drop the Billing and shipping block to the email editor.

Step 6: You can modify settings for the block from the left side.

Remember to preview the email, send a test, and save your changes when done. You can now use it in your workflow with the order placed trigger.

NotesNote: These templates should not be used for bulk campaign sending or individual email sending. This template should only be used in workflows.

Important Notes:

  1. Shortcodes dynamically pull real-time data, so they will populate correctly only when the email is triggered by a supported event.
  2. Do not edit, rename, or partially remove any shortcode, as this may prevent the data from rendering properly in the email.
  3. If a specific data field is unavailable (for example, phone number or company name), the corresponding shortcode may appear blank.
  4. Always use the Preview and Send Test Email options to verify that all shortcodes are displaying correctly.
  5. Some shortcodes are designed specifically for workflow-based emails and should not be used in bulk campaigns or one-time email sends.
  6. Ensure the selected workflow trigger (such as order placed, customer created, or points updated) matches the shortcode being used.
  7. Keep the email layout clean and readable when using multiple shortcodes to prevent cluttered designs.
  8. Changes made to shortcode content or placement should always be saved before exiting the editor.
