Send an automatic email upon order fulfillment

Introduction

Sending an automatic email upon order fulfillment helps you keep customers informed when their orders are processed and ready for delivery. This timely communication not only improves transparency but also enhances customer trust and overall shopping experience.

In this article, you’ll learn how to set up an automated email in a workflow that is triggered when an order is fulfilled, allowing you to deliver relevant updates, reduce support queries, and maintain clear communication with your customers.


Here are the steps to send an automatic email on order fulfillment:


Step 2: Click on the Create from Scratch button.




Step 3: Drag and drop the Order fulfillment trigger



Optional step: Click on the filter and actions tabs to drag and drop actions in the workflow area as per your requirement.



Step 4: Drag and drop the Send email action to the workflow editor and connect the node.



Step 5: Click on Send email action, select the template, fill in the required details, and click on Done. To learn how to create the Workflow email template, Click here.




Step 6: Once everything is done, you can give a name to the workflow, set up the throttle settings, and mark it as active by clicking on the enable button.





Now, an automatic email will be sent to the customers upon order fulfillment.


Important Notes

  • Ensure you select the correct trigger (Order Fulfillment) so the email is sent at the right stage.
  • Always choose and configure the appropriate email template before activating the workflow.
  • Verify that all required fields, such as From Name, From Email, and Reply-To Email are properly filled.
  • You can add filters or delays if you want to control the timing or target specific customers.
  • Make sure all nodes (trigger and action) are properly connected in the workflow editor.
  • Configure contact throttling to prevent duplicate or excessive emails.
  • Save and enable the workflow, otherwise emails will not be sent.
  • Review email content and personalization to ensure accurate and professional communication.
