Send an automatic email when someone visits the store

Introduction

Engaging customers at the right moment can significantly improve their shopping experience and increase conversions. Sending an automatic email when someone visits your store allows you to connect with visitors in real time, share relevant information, and guide them toward making a purchase.

In this article, you will learn how to set up an automated email that is triggered when a customer visits your store. This will help you boost engagement, promote products or offers, and create a more personalized experience for your visitors.

Here are the steps to send an automatic email when someone visits to the store:

Step 2: Drag and drop the Store Visit trigger to the Workflow editor, and then click on it

Step 3: Enter the delay after which you want to perform any action.

Step 4:  Drag and drop the filters and actions according to your needs to the workflow editor area. For example, I am using the Send email action and connect the node.

Step 5: Click on the email action added to the workflow area. A left-side menu will appear—select the email template, add the required details, and click “Done.”

Step 6: Once you are done, give your workflow a name, choose your throttling options, and mark it as active by clicking on the enable button.

Now, the workflow will be automatically triggered for customers once they enter the workflow and the email will be sent to the customers.

Important Notes

  • Ensure the Store Visit trigger is correctly configured to accurately capture customer visits.
  • Set an appropriate delay timing before sending the email to avoid overwhelming customers immediately after they visit.
  • Customize the email template with relevant content such as offers, recommendations, or helpful information.
  • Personalize emails using customer data (e.g., name or browsing behavior) to improve engagement.
  • Use throttle settings to control how frequently emails are sent to the same customer.
  • Avoid sending too many emails, as this may lead to unsubscribes or reduced engagement.
  • Monitor performance metrics such as open rates and click rates to optimize the workflow.
  • Activate the workflow after setup, otherwise, emails will not be triggered.
