The Refer a Friend earning activity allows you to reward customers for bringing new shoppers to your store. By offering loyalty points for successful referrals, you can encourage word-of-mouth marketing while growing your customer base. This article explains how the Refer a Friend earn points activity works and how to set it up so both referrers and their friends can benefit.
Step 1: Go to Loyalty Rewards> Set up program > Earn points. Then click on Refer a friend.
Discount Value:
Enter the reward amount or percentage (e.g., 10%, $5, etc.).
Minimum Purchase Amount:
Specify the minimum order value required to use the discount.
Specific Collections: The reward can only be used on selected product collections with a title.
Specific Products: The reward applies to chosen individual products with a title.
Optionally, define the expiry duration of the reward code.
Toggle Set expiry ON to activate this option.
Enter the number of days after which the reward expires (example - 30 days).

Discount value: The discount is applicable for purchases of some $.
Minimum purchase amount: Discount applicable for purchases of $some or more.
Step 3: If you want to show a special 'Refer a friend' button, then enable the same from the appearance settings under Refer a friend. You can also customize how the button or pop-up is shown on the website
Here is the chronological order of how friends receive discount codes when the store is referred by one friend to another using the loyalty referral program:-
Customer 1 refers your store to Customer 2.
Customer 2 will receive a link through email or whichever channel was selected by Customer 1
Customer 2 will click on the link and visit the store.
A popup will be displayed with the discount code on the screen of Customer 2.
Customer 1 will receive loyalty points when Customer 2 makes a purchase from the store.
