Birthday rewards

Introduction

Birthday Rewards allow you to celebrate your customers on their special day while encouraging repeat purchases and deeper brand loyalty. With this feature, you can automatically grant points, discounts, or exclusive offers to customers during their birthday month or on the exact date.

By rewarding customers on their birthday, you create a personalized shopping experience that makes them feel valued and appreciated. This not only strengthens customer relationships but also increases the likelihood of future engagement and purchases.

Birthday Rewards can be fully customized — from reward type and points value to messaging and timing — ensuring the experience aligns with your brand’s loyalty strategy.


Here are the steps to provide the birthday rewards to the customers:





Step 2: Click on Celebrate birthday



Step 3: Select the Reward type or choose how customers will be rewarded on their birthday. Available types:


a) Points

Customers receive reward points automatically.

  • You can specify how many points they earn.

  • The reward message will show the awarded points using the variable {{points}}.

b) Discount Code

Customers receive a unique discount code. Options include:

  • Discount value → Set the amount or percentage of discount.

  • Minimum purchase amount → Optional requirement to use the code.

  • Applied to

    • Specific collections

    • Specific products

  • Show in POS → Enable if you want the discount to be redeemable at Point-of-Sale.

  • Set expiry → Define how many days the code remains valid.

c) Free Product

Customers receive a free product as their birthday reward.

  • Search and select the product by title.

  • Show in POS → Allows customers to redeem the free product at the POS.

  • Set expiry → Optional validity period for the free-product reward.

d) Free Shipping

Customers receive free shipping as their reward.

  • Show in POS → Lets customers redeem free shipping for in-store pickup or POS orders.

  • Set expiry → Set how long the free-shipping reward is redeemable.



Step 2: Set up Birthday Points Multiplier



When enabled, the customer earns multiplied points in addition to the birthday reward.

Example: Multiplier = 2, If they normally earn 1 point per $1 spent → They will earn 2 points per $1 during their birthday reward period.



Step 3: Choose when the birthday reward will be given:


  • On birthday date → The reward will be provided exactly on the saved birth date.

  • First day of birthday month → The reward will be provided on the first day of birthday month.

  •  Before birthday days  You will get an option to choose the time period before the customer’s birthday for sending the reward. 



Step 4: Add the Campaign nameThis is the display name of the birthday reward on your store.


Example: Happy Birthday, Birthday Surprise, Birthday Gift, etc.



Step 5: Add the Description. This text appears on your storefront, where customers can view available rewards.
You can use variables like:
  • {{points}}Inserts the number of points the customers will receive.


Example:  “Get {{points}} reward points on your next birthday".


Step 6: Add the Reward Text. This is the message shown to customers when the reward is actually awarded.


Example: “You earned {{points}} reward points on your birthday.” This text can also be edited per your tone and brand style.


Step 7: Click on Save/Update



Now, the birthday rewards will appear based on your settings at:
