Create multiple discounts on product with discount type

Introduction

Creating multiple discounts on products with different discount types allows you to offer flexible and targeted promotions to your customers. By setting up various discount types—such as percentage-based, fixed-amount, or product-specific discounts—you can tailor offers to different campaigns, customer segments, or purchasing behaviors. This approach helps boost conversions, clear inventory, and maximize the impact of your promotional strategies. Here are the steps below to enable the combined discount:

Step 2: Enable the combined discount as per your need and click on Save settings

  1. Product Discount Code: This type of discount code applies specifically to products in your Shopify store. Customers can use these codes during checkout to receive a discount on the specified product(s) in their cart.

  2. Order Discount Code: Order discount codes are applicable to the entire order at checkout, rather than specific products. Customers can use these codes to receive a discount on their entire purchase, regardless of the products they are buying.

  3. Shipping Discount Code: Shipping discount codes offer a discount on shipping costs associated with an order. Customers can apply these codes during checkout to receive a discount on the shipping fees for their order.

Now, there are two steps to creating a discount code:

A) Generate from Aitrillion Loyalty Rewards.

NotesNote: To combine a discount with the AiTrillion discount code, you must also enable the corresponding discounts in Shopify.
Example: If you want to combine a product discount with an order discount, make sure both the product and order discounts are selected in AiTrillion and enabled in Shopify. (Please check the below screenshot.)

To set up a discount on a purchase type, follow these steps:

Step 2: Scroll to the bottom, and you will see three options to apply a discount based on the purchase type, which are as follows:

  1. One-time Purchases: This type of discount applies to a single purchase or order. It can be a percentage off, a fixed amount, or a discount on specific products or collections for a one-time use.

  2. Subscription Purchases: If you have a subscription-based model (using apps like Recharge or Bold Subscriptions), discounts can be applied specifically to recurring orders or subscription plans. These discounts are applied automatically to ongoing orders.

  3. Both: Some stores may offer discounts that apply to both one-time and subscription purchases, depending on how the discount rules are set up. This means the same discount can apply whether the customer is making a one-time purchase or subscribing to a product

Important Notes

  • You can create multiple discounts using different discount types such as percentage-based, fixed-amount, free shipping, or product-specific discounts.
  • Discounts can be generated either through AiTrillion Loyalty Rewards or directly from Shopify Discounts, depending on your use case.

  • When generating discounts via the Referral or Loyalty program, ensure the related loyalty activity is enabled and properly configured.

  • For product-specific discounts, always verify that the correct products or collections are selected in Shopify, otherwise, the discount will not apply as expected.

  • If you want a discount to work with subscription products, make sure the product is enabled for subscriptions and the discount supports subscription purchases.
