Setup an Abandoned cart & checkout series in Workflow Automation

An Abandoned Cart & Checkout Series Workflow helps you automatically follow up with customers who leave without completing their purchase, encouraging them to return and complete their order.

In this article, you will learn how to set up an Abandoned Cart & Checkout Series in Workflow Automation. This will help you recover lost revenue, improve conversion rates, and enhance the overall customer experience through timely and personalized reminders.


Here are the steps to set up abandoned cart & checkout series in workflow automation:




Step 2: Click on the Abandoned Cart tab and then click the “Use Now” button for the Abandoned Cart & Checkout Series template in Workflow Automation.




Step 3: A pop-up will appear asking for confirmation. Click on Yes, use it!



Step 4:  The workflow with a trigger, including the default template, will appear. Customize the filters and actions as per your needs.



Step 5: You can change the email template according to your requirements and brand aesthetics by clicking on the link available in the Send email action.




Step 6: Edit the workflow name, set up the throttle settings, and mark the workflow as active by clicking on the Active button.




Now, emails will be sent to customers once they enter the workflow.

  • Ensure the correct trigger (Abandoned Cart or Checkout) is selected to target the right customers.
  • Customize email content to include cart details, product images, and clear call-to-action buttons.
  • Add incentives such as discounts or limited-time offers to improve recovery rates.
  • Set appropriate delays between emails to avoid overwhelming customers.
  • Use throttle settings to control how frequently reminder emails are sent.
  • Monitor performance metrics like recovery rate, open rate, and conversions for optimization.
  • Activate the workflow after setup; otherwise, abandoned cart emails will not be triggered.
