Set Up Reviews After Theme Change
Introduction
After changing your Shopify theme, your review widgets and settings may not appear automatically on the storefront. To ensure reviews are displayed correctly, you need to reconfigure and add the necessary review components to your new theme. This article will help you quickly set up reviews again, so you can continue showcasing customer feedback and maintaining trust with your shoppers.
Once the theme has been changed, you need to complete the steps below:
You need to add the blocks which are removed from the store.
Step 1: Go to Shopify Theme Editor
- From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
- Click on Customize for your active theme.
Step 2: Add Review Rating on Product Page
- Open a product template from the top dropdown.
- Click Add block and select Review Rating (AiTrillion).
- Drag and position it where you want the ratings to appear.
- Click Save.
Step 3: Add Review Form on Product Page
- In the same product template, click Add section or Add block.
- Select Product Review Form.
- Place it below the product details or as per your preference.
- Click Save.
Step 4: Enable App Block
- Make sure the AiTrillion app block is enabled in the theme.
- If not visible, click App embeds (top bar) and enable it.
- Save the changes.
Step 5: Repeat for All Product Templates
- If your store uses multiple product templates, repeat the above steps for each one to ensure consistent display.
Note: If you previously set up reviews on the collection page, you will need to add the code again. To learn how to add the code, click here.
