Import Loyalty points from a CSV File

Introduction

In this article, we'll delve into the process of importing Loyalty Data from a CSV file into AiTrillion. This feature facilitates the seamless transfer of customer loyalty data, ensuring that merchants can efficiently manage and update their loyalty programs.


Here are the steps to import Loyalty Data from CSV File:

Step 1: Go to Loyalty Rewards > Members > Import Members.



Step 2: Click on the Download Sample CSV button.




Step 3: Fill the sample CSV with your data. Feel free to write in to support@aitrillion.com if you need help.


Notes

Note: If the customer have existing points and trying to import the new loyalty points then the Points spent and Available points will be added to the Lifetime points

In the CSV following calculations are performed -:

1.) Lifetime points + Points approved + Points spent

2.) Lifetime points - Points redeemed = Available points


Example: Before importing the points I have 20 Lifetime points and 10 Available points.




If we import the Point approved - 350 and Point spent - 1500 for this customer



The calculated points will be following:



Step 4: Upload the CSV by clicking on the Upload CSV button.




Important notes

  1. Always download and use the sample CSV format provided by AiTrillion to avoid upload errors.
  2. The email address is mandatory and is used to match customers with their existing accounts in your store.
  3. If a customer already has loyalty points, the imported values will update and recalculate points instead of replacing them.
  4. Ensure that points approved and points spent values are entered correctly, as incorrect values can lead to inaccurate balances.
  5. CSV imports do not overwrite customer profiles; they only update loyalty point-related data.
