Enable Product Questions & Answers (Q&A) on Your Store

Introduction

Enabling a Product Questions & Answers (Q&A) section on your store helps customers make more informed purchase decisions by addressing common queries directly on the product page. It creates an interactive space where potential buyers can ask questions and receive helpful responses from store owners or other customers.

By setting up Q&A, you not only improve customer engagement but also reduce pre-purchase doubts, enhance transparency, and build trust—ultimately leading to better conversion rates.



Here are the steps to set up Question & Answer on the product page

Step 1: Go to Product Reviews > Question/Answer > Question & Answer List




Step 2: Toggle the enable button to enable the question and answer list



Step 3: Click on the Enable now button to enable the Question and answer list in the store.



Step 4: Go to the General settings tab and 

  1. Auto publish on answer: When enabled, questions will be automatically published on the product page once they receive an answer. If disabled, you may need to manually approve or publish the Q&A.

Select who can give answer of the questions: This setting defines who is allowed to respond to customer questions:
  1. Admin only – Only store admins can answer questions. (Other options may include customers or both, depending on your configuration.)
  2. User reply by email request: Customers can respond to questions via email when they receive a request. This helps gather real user insights.
  3. Both: Both admins and customers can answer questions. This increases engagement but may require moderation.



Step 5: Click on the Email settings tab. The Email Settings section allows you to customize the notification email sent to customers when their question receives a reply.
  • Email subject
    Defines the subject line of the email sent to the customer.
    Example: Your question has been answered
  • Date
    Displays the date in the email. This can be dynamically populated.
  • Store
    Displays your store name in the email.
Email Content
  • Body
    This is the main content of the email. You can format the text and include dynamic shortcodes such as:
    • {first_name} – Customer’s name
    • {question_txt} – The question asked
    • {reply_txt} – The answer provided

    Example:

    Hi {first_name},
    Question: {question_txt}
    Reply: {reply_txt}

    ⚠️ Note: Do not modify or remove these shortcodes, as they are required for dynamic content.

  • Signature: The closing message of the email. Example: We appreciate your feedback. Thank you from {shop_name}.




Step 6: Click on Send test email to test the email and click on Save to save the Question and answer.



Now, the customers will get a button on the product details page to ask a question, where customers can add the details and submit the questions.
