Create Discounts or Perks for Memberships

Introduction

Creating discounts or perks in Membership allows you to offer exclusive benefits to your members and enhance their overall experience. Whether it’s special pricing, limited-time offers, or member-only rewards, these perks help you increase customer loyalty and encourage repeat purchases.

With flexible configuration options, you can easily tailor discounts and perks based on your membership plans, ensuring that each tier delivers unique value to your customers. This feature enables you to build a more engaging and rewarding membership program while driving higher conversions and retention.


Here are the steps to create perks for membership:




NotesNote - Ensure that you have already created the plan.


Step 2: Click on Membership perks.




Step 3: Click on Add membership perk.




Step 4: Fill in the details below and click on "Create Discount". Afterward, proceed to click on "Save Perk".



NotesNote: Discount ID will be automatically generated after clicking on Create discount

You have the following options:

  • Select perk: Choose the type of membership benefit you want to offer to customers. In this example, the selected perk is a percentage discount, or Amount discount, or free shipping.
  • Discount code: Enter the discount code that customers can use during checkout to receive the membership discount.
  • Percentage off or amount off: Specify the percentage discount customers will receive.
  • Create a discount (In case you have not created the discount on Shopify): Click this button to create the discount code directly from the Membership module using the entered details.
  • Add discount id (If you have already created the discount code on Shopify): Enter the Shopify Discount ID if the discount code has already been created in Shopify Admin. This helps connect the Shopify discount with the membership perk.
  • Apply discount automatically? Enable this option if you want the discount to be automatically applied when eligible customers purchase products without manually entering the discount code.
  • Save perk: Click this button to save the membership perk settings and apply the discount configuration to the membership plan.
  • Delete perk: Use this option to remove the configured membership perk from the membership plan.


    • Important Notes

    • Ensure that the membership plan is already created before adding membership perks or discounts.
    • Membership perks can be configured for different membership plans based on your business requirements.
    • You can offer various perk types such as percentage discounts, fixed amount discounts, free shipping, or other membership benefits.
    • If the discount code is not already created in Shopify, you can create it directly from the Membership module using the Create discount button.
    • If the discount already exists in Shopify Admin, make sure to enter the correct Discount ID in the provided field.
    • The discount ID is automatically generated after clicking the Create discount button.
    • Enable the Apply discount automatically? option if you want eligible customers to receive the discount automatically during checkout.
    • Ensure the Shopify discount is active and configured correctly before linking it with the membership perk.
    • Incorrect discount IDs or inactive discounts may prevent the perk from working properly.
    • After configuring the settings, click Save perk to apply the membership perk to the selected membership plan.
    • You can create multiple perks for a single membership plan depending on your membership strategy.
    • It is recommended to test the membership perk with a sample customer account before making it live.
    • Changes may take a few moments to reflect after saving the membership perk settings.
