Enable point expiry bar on popup

Introduction:

Keeping your loyalty program engaging and effective means reminding customers to use their points before they expire. One powerful way to do this is by enabling a point expiry bar directly on your pop-up. This visual reminder creates urgency, encourages repeat purchases, and helps reduce unused rewards. In this article, we’ll walk you through how to activate the point expiry bar on your popup and customize it to fit your store’s branding — so you can boost engagement and make your loyalty program work even harder for you.

Here are the steps to enable the point expiry bar on the Popup:

Step 1: Go to Loyalty Rewards > Set up program > Point Expiry in your AiTrillion dashboard.

Step 2: Scroll down to the section: Show loyalty point expiry days to customers on the storefront loyalty pop-up. Check the box to enable this option.
Customize the settings with two optional messages:
Display remaining days before points expire on the loyalty popup: Set the number of days before expiry you want the message to appear. Example: Enter 10 to start showing the message 10 days before points expire.
Message for expiring points before point expiry date: This will be shown when the expiry is approaching (e.g., “Your loyalty points are set to expire in {{points_expiry_days}} day(s).”)
Message for same-day point expiry: This is shown when points expire on the current day (e.g., “Your loyalty points are set to expire today. Redeem them or make a new purchase to retain them.”)

Step 3: Click the Update button to save your settings

The bar will now automatically appear under the 'Earn Points' tab on the Loyalty Rewards popup.

Important notes:

  1. The point expiry bar will appear on the loyalty popup only if Point Expiry is enabled in your loyalty program settings.
  2. The expiry message is shown to customers before their points expire, based on the number of days configured in the Display remaining days field.
  3. Make sure to use the correct dynamic placeholders (such as {{points_expiry_days}}) to display accurate expiry information to customers.
  4. The expiry bar is displayed under the Earn Points tab of the loyalty popup and is visible only to logged-in customers with expiring points.
  5. If a customer has no expiring points, the expiry bar will not be shown.
