Create Product Review Gallery
Introduction
A Product Review Gallery allows you to showcase customer reviews in a visually engaging format, making it easier for shoppers to explore real feedback and build trust in your products. By creating a review gallery, you can highlight top reviews, images, and videos shared by customers, helping improve credibility and influence purchase decisions. This feature enhances the overall shopping experience by presenting authentic content in a more interactive and appealing way.
Here is how the product review gallery appears.
Here are the steps to create a product review gallery:
Step 1: Go to Product Reviews >> Display on store >> Review display
Step 2: Click on Review widgets, set up the settings according to your needs and click on Update settings. The available settings are:
View Type (Product Review Gallery)
- List View: Displays reviews in a vertical list format.
- Grid View: Displays reviews in a visually rich grid layout with images and content.
- Choose the view that best matches your store design and user experience.
Reviews Per Page
- Define how many reviews will be shown per page in the gallery.
- Increasing the number shows more reviews at once, while a lower number improves load speed and readability.
Review Text Color
- Customize the color of the review text to match your store’s branding.
- Ensure good contrast for better readability.
Site Review Gallery: This setting applies specifically to site-wide reviews:
- Reviews Per Page: Set how many site reviews are displayed per page.
- Review Text Color: Adjust the text color for site reviews.
Note: The site review gallery is available only in list view.
Step 3: Go to the Shopify admin >> Online Store >> Themes >> Edit theme.
Step 4: Click the down arrow next to the Home page, search for the page where you want to add the review gallery, and select it from the menu.
Note: If you have not created the page, follow the steps below:
A) Go to Shopify admin >> Pages >> Add pages
B) Add the title of the page, mark the page as visible, and click on Save.
Now, you can go to Step 4 and search for the title/page name.
Step 5: Click on Add section >> Apps >> Product review gallery.
Step 6: Click on the Save button.
Important Notes:
- Ensure that your store has photo or video reviews available or text reviews, as the review gallery primarily displays visual content.
- The gallery visibility depends on your selected settings, such as reviews per page, layout, and filters.
- Always click Update Settings after making changes to ensure they are applied correctly.
- Customize the review text color and layout to match your store’s branding for better consistency.
- Increasing the number of reviews per page may impact page loading speed, so choose an optimal limit.
- This feature works best with high-quality customer images and videos, helping improve trust and conversions.
