Send Automated Welcome Emails on Signup

Introduction

Sending automated welcome emails on signup helps you make a strong first impression and build a connection with new customers right from the start. A well-crafted welcome email can introduce your brand, set expectations, and encourage further engagement.

In this article, you’ll learn how to set up automated welcome emails using workflows, so every new signup receives a timely and personalized message, helping you improve onboarding, boost engagement, and increase customer retention.

Here are the steps to Send Automated Welcome Emails on Signup:

Step 2: Click on the Welcome email tab, and there are two templates available. Click on the Use Now button on either the Welcome email (standard) or the Welcome email (advance)

Step 3. A pop-up will appear asking for confirmation. Click on the Yes, use it! button.

Step 4. Now, a workflow editor will appear. You can use Filters, Actions, and edit the email template as per your needs.

Step 5: Once everything is done, you can give a name to the workflow, set up the throttle settings, and mark it as active by clicking on the enable button.

Now, whenever a customer signs up for the store, an automated email will be sent to them.

Important Notes

  • Ensure you select the correct trigger (e.g., Contact Added / Signup) so the welcome email is sent at the right time.
  • You can choose between pre-built templates (standard or advanced) based on your requirements.
  • Always review and customize the welcome email content to match your brand voice and messaging.
  • Verify that all personalization fields and shortcodes are working correctly.
  • Make sure the workflow nodes are properly connected in the editor.
  • Configure contact throttling to control how often customers can re-enter the workflow.
  • Ensure all required fields, such as From Name, From Email, and Subject Line, are properly set.
  • Save and enable the workflow, otherwise the welcome emails will not be sent.
  • Avoid sending multiple welcome emails by ensuring only one active welcome workflow is configured.
