Custom fields in smart popups

Introduction

Custom fields in smart popups are a powerful way to personalize and enhance user interactions on your website. By tailoring your pop-ups to collect specific information or display content based on user behavior and preferences, you can significantly boost engagement, drive conversions, and create a more customized user experience.

Note: The custom fields will only work with the Newsletter popup.

Here are the steps to use a custom field in a Smart popup:

Step 1: Go to Smart popups >>Create new >> Newsletter popup

Step 2: Click on Field and scroll down to the bottom

Note: If you have not created the custom field, or if the options are not visible in the select field, you need to create the custom field first. Go to Customers >> Custom Fields and click on Create Field. To learn more, click here.

Step 3: Select one of the fields from Hobby, Gender, Address, and click on the Add field

Note: If you use the custom field in the Smart Popup and make any changes to the custom field, you will also need to update the field in the Smart Popup accordingly.

Step 4: Add the Placeholder and click on the enable button if it is the required field also add the Required Message

Step 5: Scroll to the top and click on Save

Now the custom field will be visible on the popup

You can also use the received custom field response in a segment.
