Connect Multiple WhatsApp Numbers for Multi-Team Support and Messaging

Introduction

Managing customer conversations across multiple WhatsApp numbers and support teams is simple with Multi-Team Support. By connecting multiple WhatsApp Business numbers, you can assign dedicated numbers to different teams, departments, or regions, ensuring that customer inquiries are routed to the right team for faster and more efficient responses. In this article, you'll learn how to connect multiple WhatsApp numbers, assign them to different teams, and streamline customer communication using Multi-Team Support.


Here are the steps to connect multiple WhatsApp numbers for different teams:



Step 2: Click on Add another number



Step 3: A pop-up dialogue will appear. Now, follow the steps below to successfully get approval of WhatsApp Business API

Meta Business Verification & Setup

a. Log in to your Facebook/Meta account to authorize the connection by clicking on the Continue button.



b.  Select the business asset that you would like to use for WhatsApp.

  2. Ensure that you are using a fresh account where a WhatsApp Business account has not already been created.
  3. If you are using an old WhatsApp number, you need to delete it first and then create a new WhatsApp Business account.
  4. You can connect an existing WhatsApp Business account to AiTrillion. However, if your WhatsApp Business account is already connected to another platform, you must first remove that app from your Facebook Business account before connecting it to AiTrillion.
  5. If a WhatsApp Business account is already created, you need to link it to your WhatsApp Business portfolio with AiTrillion.
  6. If you are using another WhatsApp sender, you need to unlink the WhatsApp Business account from that sender ID and then link it with AiTrillion.



c. Provide your business details such as:

  • Business name - Enter the name of the business.

  • Business category - Category of the business. For example, Professional service.

  • Website URL - Your Website/Store URL.

  • Country and time zone - Country and time zone of the business.




d. Create or Select a WhatsApp Business Account: You can either: Create a new WhatsApp Business account (Recommended) or Connect an existing one. Here are the settings which are available:
  1. Select the WhatsApp business account phone number or add a new WhatsApp number.
  2. Enter the name of the business
  3. Choose how you would like to verify the phone number: Text message or Phone number.



e. Enter the verification code that is sent to the provided number.



f. Click on the Next button to Approve the consent to send a WhatsApp message through AiTrillion. 



g. Congratulations! Now, your WhatsApp number has been successfully created, and AiTrillion will start the verification process.



h. It will take a few moments to complete the process of linking your Meta WhatsApp Business account to AiTrillion.



After the process is completed, the pop-up will disappear, and AiTrillion will verify the business account. The status will appear as In Progress, and it will take 1-2 business days with Meta for approval.



Once the verification is completed, the WhatsApp Business Phone number will be approved.




Note:
  1. If you use a WhatsApp template with the Marketing category, the soft messaging limit for new sender accounts is 250 messages per week, which will gradually increase with each campaign.
  2. If you are using a marketing template, it is recommended to send 3–4 messages per account per week initially, as per Meta guidelines.


You can also view templates created for a specific WhatsApp number and use the filters to display templates created by or assigned to a particular WhatsApp number.
