What is Customer Timeline and how it works?

Introduction:

The customer timeline in AiTrillion provides a comprehensive view of the customer journey and helps businesses to understand the interactions and events that take place throughout the customer lifecycle. The customer timeline typically shows engagement from all modules including Email, Loyalty, Reviews, and Web Push, and displays information such as customer interactions, purchase history, and more.


In AiTrillion, businesses can use the customer timeline to:

  1. Track customer interactions: The customer timeline displays all customer interactions, including email activities, workflow engagement, loyalty activities, order updates, and many more, in chronological order.

  2. Monitor customer behavior: The customer timeline provides insights into customer behavior, including their purchase history and feedback, helping businesses to understand their customers better.

  3. Improve customer engagement: By tracking customer interactions, businesses can identify areas where they need to improve their engagement strategies and implement changes to better serve their customers.

  4. Enhance customer experience: The customer timeline provides businesses with a comprehensive view of the customer journey, enabling them to identify pain points and make improvements to the customer experience.


Follow the steps below to check or view the customer timeline:




Step 2:
 Click on the name of the customer or View details to check the timeline for the customer.



Step 3: A new screen will open where you will be able to see the customer overview. 



Here are the details available of the customers:

Basic details

  1. Details - This section shows the customer's basic details like Email, Phone, Birthday, and many more.
  2. Address - This section shows the address details of the customers.
  3. Custom field - The section shows if there is any custom field present to the customer's account. To learn more, Click here.
  4. Tags - The section shows list of tags added to the customer's account.


Overview

Displays general information and performance metrics.

Unsubscribe to email list:
This will show if the customer is unsubscribed to the email list. For example - Marketing email campaign, Transaction email campaign, or Review request email. 
Timeline: Shows a chronological view of:
  • Email opens

  • Clicks

  • Orders

  • Logins

  • Other customer activities

Orders

Displays:

  • Total orders

  • Order history

  • Order value

  • Purchase frequency

Membership

Shows Membership details such as:

  • Membership name - Displays the name of the membership.

  • Type - Free or paid membership.

  • Created Type - Defines the type of membership. If it is recurruing membership or one time membership.

  • Next Renewal/Expiration – The upcoming renewal date (for recurring plans) or expiration date.

  • Status – Current membership status (Active, Expired, Cancelled, etc.).

List

Indicates which email lists the customer belongs to. You can also add the customer to the list.

Affiliate

Displays affiliate program details if the customer is an affiliate.

Visited Products

Shows products viewed by the customer on your store.


Step 4: Click on the Timeline tab to see the customer timeline.
