Optimize Your Online Store Customer Journey Funnel for Higher Conversions

Online Store Customer Journey Funnel

What is Online Store Customer Journey Funnel?

The Customer Journey Funnel in AiTrillion is a feature that visually represents the different stages a customer goes through before completing a purchase. It helps businesses analyze customer behavior and identify drop-off points in the conversion process, optimize conversions, and effortlessly improve the shopping experience.

The Purpose Behind Online Web Analytics

Understanding why customers drop off mid-purchase is crucial for optimizing conversions. Where exactly is the issue? What does the customer journey reveal? Here are the key problem areas that lead to drop-offs:

  • Cart Abandonment Happens Due to Uncertainty – Lack of product details, no urgency, or better deals elsewhere make customers hesitate and leave.

  • Pricing & Shipping Barriers Cause Drop-Offs – Unexpected fees, high shipping costs, or missing discounts break trust, while the lack of local pricing or preferred payment options makes checkout payment gateways inconvenient.

  • Poor User Experience Drives Customers Away – Too many pop-ups, confusing navigation, and slow-loading pages create frustration, leading to drop-offs.

  • Checkout & Trust Barriers Cause Drop-Offs – Forced account creation, lengthy forms, and limited payment options slow the buying process. In contrast, glitches and a lack of trust signals (secure payments, return policies) make customers hesitate.

  • Lack of Information Causes Customer Hesitation – When customers hover over products but don’t proceed, it signals missing details and unclear descriptions.

Tracking the customer journey helps store owners identify gaps, enhance product pages, and build trust, ultimately driving more conversions.

  • Real-Time Order Progress Monitoring – Tracks visitor activity on the checkout page, including payment entry, to analyze drop-off rates and ensure seamless order tracking, and payment gateway-related problems.

5.    Total Orders Placed

  • Displays the total number of completed orders. Once a visitor finalizes a purchase, the system updates their journey, offering key insights for analytics and retention strategies.
