How To Setup Restrictions On Pages, Blog, Price For Non-Members?

This feature is from the membership module to help you give more power to recurring paying members.

The collections, pages, blogs, product price and add to cart button can be restricted for members and non-members. For this, proceed to create a new plan in the app and then in the “Restrict Access” tab, you can create Plan Rules for restrictions.

Check the quick video below:

Follow the quick steps below for the same:

The work ethic of rules are-
If you want to hide any collection from all other customers except current plan members then add a condition like –

Show → Collection → Choose Collection

If you want to show any collection to all other customers except current plan members then add a condition like –

Hide → Collection → Choose Collection

Let us understand by the below example –

I created rules such as “Show Home and Garden Collection” only for subscribed members (will be hidden from non-members) and “Hide Apparel Collection” for subscribed members (will be visible to non-members). Once the customer subscribes to the membership and signs in to the Shopify site then he will be able to access the restricted pages i.e., the Membership subscription page.

Show or hide collection for customers on Shopify

Similarly, if you want to show a page to members only and hide it from all non-members. then you can create a rule like

Show → Page→ Choose Page

Show or hide pages for customers on Shopify

and if you want to hide the  Add to cart button from non-members then you can create a rule like

Show → Add to cart button

This rule will be applicable to customers with a plan tag. Only members can see the add to cart button.

NOTE –

1. Any additional liquid code installation is not required for showing/hiding the collections, pages, and blogs. But if you are trying to hide the Add to Cart button or product price then the liquid installation is required. Refer to the 4th step for guidance in the article here – Setup membership app

2. Any additional sign-in page is not managed through the app. Subscribed customers are registered to the Shopify store and they can easily sign in using the basic Shopify sign-in page.
