Automatically Enroll Newly Signed-Up Customers in a Free Membership Plan

Introduction

Automatically Enroll Newly Signed-Up Customers into your membership plan as soon as they sign up. This feature lets you assign a default membership plan to new customers, ensuring they receive the plan’s benefits without requiring manual enrollment.

Here are the steps to automatically enroll new customers in a membership plan:

Step 1: Go to Membership V2 >> Membership plan

Step 2: Click on Create or Edit plan.

Step 3: Add the required details and enable Automatically assign this plan to new customers on signup. You can also enable Automatically cancel this membership when the customer buys a paid membership.

Note:
1. Ensure that the membership mode is set to Manual Renewal Mode; otherwise, the membership will not be assigned automatically when customers sign up.
2. If you are creating a product, the Product price must be greater than 1.

Now, whenever customers sign up to your store, the membership will be automatically assigned to the customers. The customers who got membership on signup will be visible at -- Membership V2 >> Membership

You can also create free perks for customers who sign up for your store. You can create the perks by going to Membership V2 >> Membership Plans >> Membership perks

Important Notes

Ensure that the Membership Mode is set to Manual Renewal Mode. Otherwise, the membership will not be assigned automatically when customers sign up.
The Product Price must be greater than 1 when creating a product-based membership plan.
Customers who are automatically enrolled will be visible under Membership V2 → Memberships.
You can also create free perks for customers who sign up for your store by going to Membership V2 → Membership plans → Membership perks.
If Automatically cancel this membership when the customer buys a paid membership is enabled, the free membership will be canceled when the customer purchases a paid membership.
