The Manage affiliates page lists every affiliate on your store, along with the sales, orders, commission and clicks each one has generated. Until now the only date you could filter that list on was the affiliate order date — useful for looking at trading activity, but no help at all when the question is “who signed up recently?”. An affiliate who registered last week but has not yet driven an order was effectively invisible to the filter.
This release adds two things. The date filter now offers Registration date alongside the existing order-date option, so you can pull up exactly the affiliates who joined in a given window. And an Export affiliates button downloads the list you are looking at as a CSV — filters included — so you can carry on in a spreadsheet.
This article shows you where the affiliate list lives, how to filter it by registration date using either a preset range or your own dates, how to tell a filter is active, how to export the result, and how to clear the filter again.
• Filter by registration date — the Filter by dropdown now offers Registration date as well as By order date.
• Preset and custom ranges — choose Today, Yesterday, Past 7 days or Past 30 days, or set your own From and To dates.
• Export the affiliate list — the Export affiliates button downloads a CSV of the list, and it honours whatever filter is applied.
•
A visible filter indicator — the Filters
button turns solid and shows a count while a filter is active, so a filtered
list is never mistaken for the whole list.
Note: There is nothing to switch on. Both changes are already live for every account with the Affiliate program module enabled.
• The Affiliate program module must be enabled on your account. If it is not in your left navigation, add it from Customize modules panel at the bottom of the menu.
• You need at least one registered affiliate. A store with no affiliates has nothing to filter and nothing to export.
•
Your browser must be allowed to download files from
AiTrillion — the export arrives as a CSV download rather than an email.
Go to Affiliate
program › Affiliate › Manage affiliates in the left navigation. Affiliate
is a nested group inside Affiliate program, so expand both if they are
collapsed.
Figure 1: Expand Affiliate program, then
Affiliate, and open Manage affiliates.
The page opens
on the full list of your affiliates. Total at the top left counts the
affiliates currently shown, and the table columns run Name, Email,
Registration date, Total sales, Total orders, Commission
earned, Commission paid, Total clicks, Unique clicks, Status
and Action. Scroll the table sideways to reach the columns beyond
Commission earned.
Both of this
release’s changes sit at the top of the page: Filters on the right of
the table header, and Export affiliates in the top-right corner of the
page.
Figure 2: Filters, on the table header, and Export affiliates, above it.
Click Filters.
A small panel opens beneath the button with two dropdowns — Filter by
and Date filter — and the Clear all and Apply buttons.
Figure 3: The Filters panel, with Filter by, Date filter, Clear all and Apply.
Nothing is
filtered until you press Apply. Choosing values in the dropdowns changes
nothing on its own, and closing the panel without applying discards them.
Open the Filter
by dropdown. It offers two choices, and Registration date is the new
one.
Figure 4: Filter by now offers
Registration date as well as By order date.
1. Registration date — matches on the date the affiliate signed up, which is the value shown in the Registration date column. Use this to find new affiliates.
2. By order date — the original behaviour. Matches on the date of the affiliate’s orders, so it finds affiliates who were trading in the period rather than affiliates who joined in it.
The distinction
matters. An affiliate who registered in January and sold nothing until June
appears under an order-date filter for June, and under a registration-date
filter for January. Pick the one that answers your question.
With the filter
type set, open the Date filter dropdown and choose the period you want.
Figure 5: The date ranges on offer, from
Custom date through to Past 30 days.
• Custom date — set your own start and end dates. Covered below.
• Today — affiliates who registered today.
• Yesterday — affiliates who registered yesterday.
• Past 7 days — the last week.
• Past 30 days — the last month. This is the usual choice for a monthly review of new sign-ups.
Choosing Custom
date reveals a From and a To field, both in MM/DD/YYYY
format. Type the dates in, or use the calendar icon at the end of each field.
Figure 6: Custom date reveals the From
and To fields.
Note: The Apply button stays greyed out until both From and To are filled in. If Apply looks disabled on a custom range, one of the two dates is still empty.
Click Apply.
The panel closes and the list reloads showing only the affiliates who
registered inside your range.
Figure 7: With a filter applied, the
Filters button turns solid and carries a count.
Two things on screen tell you a filter is active. The Filters button changes from an outline to a solid blue button with a number beside it — the number of filters applied. And the Total count at the top left drops to the number of matching affiliates rather than your whole affiliate base.
The Registration
date column is your check: every row shown should fall inside the range you
set. You can also click the sort arrows on that column to order the results
oldest-first or newest-first.
Figure 8: Export affiliates downloads the
list you are currently looking at.
A green
confirmation appears and the CSV downloads through your browser. There is no
dialogue to fill in and no email to wait for.
Figure 9: The confirmation shown once the
export has been generated.
The export
honours the filter. Exporting with a registration-date range applied produces a
file containing only those affiliates; exporting with no filter produces the
full list. The downloaded file is named export-affiliate-all-members-followed
by a timestamp.
Note: The filename always contains “all-members”, even when the export is filtered. The name does not reflect the filter — the contents do. Rename the file after downloading if you are keeping several exports side by side.
A filter stays applied until you remove it. To go back to the full list, open Filters again and click Clear all. The count disappears from the Filters button and Total returns to your full affiliate count.
This matters more than it sounds. If you leave a narrow filter applied and come back later, both the list and any export you take will still be limited to it.
If no affiliate
registered inside the range you chose, the table shows No data available,
Total reads 0, and Export affiliates is greyed out — there is
nothing to export.
Figure 10: An empty result. Export
affiliates is disabled because there is nothing to export.
This is the
expected behaviour, not an error. Widen the range, or check that you picked Registration
date rather than By order date — a store whose affiliates have not
placed orders returns nothing on an order-date filter however wide the range.
Reviewing this month’s sign-ups
Filter on Registration date with Past 30 days. The Total count is your new-affiliate number for the month, and the list is who to welcome or onboard.
Checking whether a campaign brought affiliates in
Use Custom date with the campaign’s start and end dates. Sign-ups inside that window are your result.
Spotting registered affiliates who never traded
Filter by registration date for an older period, then read the Total orders column. Affiliates sitting at 0 have joined but never driven a sale — these are the ones worth re-engaging.
Reporting offline
Filter to the period you are reporting on,
then Export affiliates. The CSV holds the filtered rows, ready to pivot
or chart in a spreadsheet.
Note: The filter is not saved. It applies to your current session on the page and resets when you navigate away and back.
Note: Registration date and By order date are alternatives, not a combination. You select one filter type at a time.
Note: Dates are entered and displayed as MM/DD/YYYY. A date typed in another order will not match what you expect.
Note: The export reflects the filter, not the page. You do not need to change the 10 / page setting or visit every page before exporting — all matching affiliates are included.
The Apply button is greyed out
On a custom range, both From and To must be filled in before Apply becomes active. Check that the second date was accepted — clicking away from the field too quickly can leave it empty.
The list did not change after applying
Confirm the Filters button turned solid and shows a count. If it is still an outline, the filter was not applied — reopen the panel and press Apply.
Recent affiliates are missing from the results
Check Filter by. If it is set to By order date, affiliates who registered in your range but have not placed an order will not appear. Switch it to Registration date.
Export affiliates is disabled
The current list is empty. Widen the date range or clear the filter — the button re-enables as soon as there is at least one affiliate to export.
The exported file has more rows than the screen showed
That is correct. The table is paginated at 10 rows per page by default, while the export contains every affiliate matching the filter.
No download appeared
Check your browser’s download bar and its pop-up or download blocking for AiTrillion. The confirmation message means the file was generated successfully on the server, so a missing file is a browser-side block.
