Introduction

In this article, we'll walk you through how to set up auto-assignment for affiliate groups and the benefits this automation can bring to your affiliate program management.

Here are the steps to auto assign Affiliate group-:

Step 1: Go to Affiliate program >> Manage program >> Create group Or Edit group

Note📝 -:

1.) Auto-assignment group can not be marked as default group and can not be created along with Shopify tag based new group assignment setting.

2.) If you create an affiliate group with a specific auto-assign criteria, all other groups will inherit the same criteria. To modify the auto-assign criteria, you'll need to delete the existing groups and create new ones with the updated criteria.

3.) If you manually assign a customer to a specific group without selecting 'Exclude from Auto-Assigned Groups,' the auto-assign process will reset the customer’s group assignment.

Step 2: There are 3 ways to assign in the list which are following -:

  1. Total unique customers achieved: This method assigns affiliates to a group based on the total number of unique customers they have referred to your store. A unique customer refers to an individual who has made a purchase or taken a specific action through the affiliate's referral link for the first time.

  2. Total orders achieved: Affiliates can also be assigned to group based on the total number of orders generated through their referrals. This method focuses on the volume of transactions rather than the number of unique customers.

  3. Total revenue achieved: This assignment method group affiliates based on the total revenue generated from their referrals. It’s a powerful way to measure the financial impact of each affiliate on your business.
